Looking for a way to take your DVD collection to the next level? Maybe you’re thinking about throwing an old-school movie night or just want to experience your DVDs on a larger screen. You could use any old projector and lug around a DVD player, cables, your DVDs, and deal with setting it up every time; but wouldn’t it be much easier if everything was built in? We think so, so we’ve compiled a list of the 3 best projectors with a DVD player built in.
Resolution, Contrast Ratio, and Lumens What you Should Know
Before you invest in any projector there’s a few terms that you should be familiar with.
Resolution describes the number of pixels that can be displayed across the width and height. The higher the resolution, the clearer the display will be. 1280x720p (720p) 1920×1080 (1080p) are both examples of high definition (HD).
Contrast Ratio is a term that describes the the illumination of the brightest colors, like white, and the darkest colors, like black. It’s usually expressed as 1000:1 where the beginning number is higher or lower. The higher the contrast ratio, the better colors will be displayed.
Lumens are a unit of measurement that describe how bright a projection from a projector will be. Darker rooms will require less lumen output while brighter rooms will require more.
Projectors With Built in Blu-ray Players
Unfortunately at the time of writing no projectors with a built in Blu-ray player are available on the market. All of the projectors on this list will only play DVDs. These projectors can still play Blu-rays by using an external device as the source and plugging it into one of the available ports on the projector.

Best of all, this projector is truly an all in one device. It comes with a DVD player and speakers built in, as well as with a remote.
